You Have Heard It Said: Everybody’s Working For The Weekend

This season I have been directing and producing short visual devotional videos with Netzer.org for Lent. Check out their website for more information, and take a few moments this week to watch, think, reflect, and pray.

  1. One thing that struck me as Andy described the effect of the industrial (and tech/information) revolution on humans, is that we became (or strove to become) like that which we created, rather than becoming like that which created us. This inversion of the creation over the creator makes me wonder about our desire to make God like us in inappropriate ways — especially when he made himself like us in such a perfect way. Similarly, making ourselves like God is also a clear no-no, as opposed to allowing ourselves to be made/remade by God. So really it comes down to allowing God to be God (I AM that I AM) and do what he will, and for us to respond accordingly.

This was great. Thanks to Andy (and Justin).
