Minimalistic Focus [justin]

I’m about to wrap up the current incarnation of my journal. Before moving on, I always look through the past and see what things I was and still am meditating on. I switched style this journal compared to the previous versions. Being in school and having other writing responsibilities made me shift writing in paragraph format to creating word pictures. The change to minimalistic focus rather than vast verbal vomiting (which has its place), has been good for this season. Now if only I could get my handwriting to have automatic spell check.  [click images to enlarge]

possibly one of the most liberating things you can say to someone in the “church system” is: you are not saved

God’s love is complete… vast, dynamic fulfilled, detailed, fresh, secure, a blanket, subtle, warm, finished, never finished, intriguing, defining, exponential, calls out, covers. God loves completely… knowingly, sacrificially, subtly, obviously, faithfully.

Live out of wounds… not ours, but His.

Love covers a multitude of sin.

Accuser/Accurser: angel of light, father of lies.

“I don’t want to be insincere…”
The failure of authenticity and the need for faith

There is no favoritism with God. He will repay each one according to his works. Eternal life to those, who by patiently doing good, seek for glory, honor, immortality. Wrath and indignation to those who are self-seeking… disobey truth, obeying unrighteousness.

If you show favoritism, you commit sin. Speak and act as those who will be judged by the law of freedom. For judgement is without mercy to the one who hasn’t shown mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgement.

Job was favored… so he went through hell.

Fear is reserved for the Lord. Fear given to anything or anyone else is idolatry.

Work out of rest, not labor until tired. There was evening then morning…

Peace I leave with you, peace I give to you. I am going away, I am coming to you. Get up; let’s leave this place.
